Ryanair's latest plan: replace toilets with seats
The airline said Thursday that it was "business as usual," a day after Labor Minister Lisa Raitt referred the dispute to the Canada Industrial Relations Board.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees, representing 6,800 flight attendants, canceled the strike after the submission was made.
Labor board executive director Ginette Brazeau says the minister's action automatically suspends the workers' right to strike.
The strike by flight attendants would have disrupted travel at Canada's biggest air carrier and affected thousands of travelers across the country and abroad.
